AccuFund commissioned publisher Nonprofit PRO to conduct a survey of its readers (nonprofit finance professionals and top organization management) to benchmark the methods used to manage endowment accounting.  272 endowment professionals responded.

The 2015-2016 Endowment Accounting Insights & Analysis Survey sought information central to endowment accounting management, including the frequency of fund statement reports, the systems used to manage finances, and specific software features used to manage endowments.

AccuFund recently partnered with Richmond Jewish Foundation in a new Case Study; showcasing streamlined accounting and fundraising functions improve all aspects of the foundation.

Richmond Jewish Foundation (RJF) is a primary, trusted and expert resource for planned giving and endowments, providing services to the community and its donors, making grants and undertaking community leadership and partnership activities to address a wide variety of needs in its service area.

With AccuFund, RJF was able to customize their accounting statements – for each one of their funds– and show their part of the income from the whole investment.  Through various tools within AccuFund Accounting Suite, combined investment revenues are allocated to various funds so RJF always knows how much each of the 250 funds has at any given time – and that it is properly accounted for. Using the Allocations Management module, the system calculates and posts administrative fees automatically, totally eliminating the need for spreadsheets.

Additionally, AccuFund CRM set out to provide a completely customized Salesforce solution for both RJF staff and their constituents by designing an online portal that allow constituents to review and submit online donations and applications without any involvement from the staff.

“In the first year alone, we saw a 300% increase in online donations because the system was so easy to use,” explains Robert Nomberg, Richmond Jewish Foundation President and CEO.

The Financial Report Writer class covers the essentials of financial reporting, including Statements of Financial Position and Activities, and includes introduction to the use of classifications for reporting.

Standard Report Writer, March 25-26, 2015
Standard Report Writer is used by all modules for transaction and summary reports, such as aging reports and vendor summaries, as well as to design all forms such as checks and Purchase Orders.

Advanced SRW, March 27, 2015
Advanced SRW covers topics such as sub reports and special functions used in payroll reporting. Prerequisite is the Standard Report Writer class.

AccuFund announces the release of version 5.02 of its nonprofit and government Accounting Suites available for both online and on-premise licensing.  Version 5.02 includes a new Travel Advance Management module and enhancements to the Work Order module. 

Designed for organizations whose employees travel extensively, the Travel Advance Management tracks all open travel requests.  It is linked to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules of AccuFund providing clients with a total environment to manage and reconcile travel activity.

The Work Order module enhancements extend the usefulness of the module beyond its original purpose of supporting the public works departments of local givenment.

Other changes in version 5.02 include enhancements to year end payroll processing and additional features in the AccuFund Report Writer.
